A close friend of mine referred me to this website that helps you figure out what religious tendencies you really have. They call it the "Belief-O-Matic" and daaaaamn what a machine it is. You answer 20 questions about your beliefs of a Supreme Being, the afterlife, human nature, and VOILA, your religion is..........
Well, it spits out a list of 27 possibilities ranked according to your highest percentage of similarity to the religion/ideology. Long story short, I answered the questions and although my highest ranked denomination appears to be Unitarian Unilateralism (coming in at 100%) I felt more connected with Secular Humanism (98%), the second choice on the list. I should mention though that after reading about Humanists I do not and cannot for the life of me be as peaceful or accepting as they are. But anyhow, here is what the site says about Secular Humanists:
| • | Belief in Deity Not considered important. Most Humanists are atheists or agnostics. |
| • | Incarnations Same as above. |
| • | Origin of Universe and Life The scientific method is most respected as the means for revealing the mysteries of the origins of the universe and life. |
| • | After Death An afterlife or spiritual existence after death is not recognized. |
| • | Why Evil? No concept of “evil.” Reasons for wrongdoing are explored through scientific methods, e.g. through study of sociology, psychology, criminology. |
| • | Salvation No concept of afterlife or spiritual liberation or salvation. Realizing ones personal potential and working for the betterment of humanity through ethical consciousness and social works are considered paramount, but from a naturalistic rather than supernatural standpoint. |
| • | Undeserved Suffering No spiritual reasons but rather a matter of human vulnerability to misfortune, illness, and victimization. |
| • | Contemporary Issues The American Humanist Association endorses elective abortion. Other contemporary views include working for equality for homosexuals, gender equality, a secular approach to divorce and remarriage, working to end poverty, promoting peace and nonviolence, and environmental protection. |
There you have it. It doesn't get more Infidel than this. Try it out and see what you get.
By the way, Islam came in at 11%. No surprises there.......(Even the Mormons came in before that for God's sake.... No pun intended)

Universal Unilateralism??? That's funny!

I for one do not believe or rely on organized religion. Besides, it's not the religion, it's the people. I am more into the spirituality concept somewhat of the Sufi or the Kabbalah order encompassing all religions, religionists, and even atheists.
However, when I took the test, my 100% score showed 'Reform Judaism' with 98% for Unitarian Universalism. Islam came in 6th with 80% and Catholicism, true to my expectations as a 'religion' of symbolisms and technicality matters more so than purpose, was way down there at 32%.

Metin the reformed Jew! That's funny. I should re-take the test and see what pops out.

Took the test, I am 100% Liberal Quaker (same result as a couple of years ago). Islam came in at 9th place, 77%.

I didn't realize I could be 'reformed.' I am not even sure if the Jews would even accept me as one of their own. I would give 'anti-semite' a new meaning, that's for sure.

Yay, I'm 100% secular humanist. As expected. I'm 28% scientology, but that can't be right, because I really don't remember any questions about aliens...
Hurray for abortions, free sex and welfare checks!
