Damn, what a beautiful game.... I've been watching the games, of course, and let me tell you that I am in love with this game. Today I was watching the Argentina - Mexico (2:1) game and
when Rodriguez (ARG) shot that phenomenal goal in overtime I just about lost it at a local bar here. My voice was gone, my arms were tired, and there may have been a couple of tears in my eyes. The beauty of the pass was only surpassed by the chest stop and volley shot that made the leather fly in a perfect arc over the goalie into the upper left section of the goal. This is skill, this is grace, this is perfection.......
I actually think that in this one moment of joy I found God. He was in that ball flying high and capturing our attention with a sense of joy that makes us more human than we've ever been. And when the leather hit the net I was in pure ecstasy like a 10-year old boy who just figured out how to ejaculate for the first time.
This is without a doubt the most beautiful goal of the this World Cup so far. It's moments like this that make me realize how graceful this game is and what makes it worth watching or playing. Futbol is often called the poor-man's sport. Anyone and everyone can play it and that's why the South Americans are quite good at it. If you can walk you play. On the street, in the house, on the roof, at school, at midnight and in the morning. Every single day of every single week. I love it.

Damn, you have so much passion about this game!
